Hawaii brings an effortless and beautiful bliss with the re-discovery of self

Destination Hawaii

Hawaii as a Spiritual Destination – are you kidding me? That was my knee jerk response when I was first introduced to the possibility of a Spiritual Retreat in Hawaii. That was nothing like the notion I had of these islands at all.

My left brain gawked at the idea of Hawaii being anything more than big surf, great beaches and scantily clad beautiful bronze bodies.  All this with a bit of Hawaii Ukulele happy music as audio wallpaper.

The marketing aspects of Hawaii as a destination have centered so long around Honolulu and with TV series like Magnum P.I from the 80’s and Hawaii Five o from a decade before along with the remake now, it is no surprise that most of us have a one dimensional image of Hawaii.

Hawaiian Tourism

Before leaving for Hawaii, I came across the ancient history of the region and read of the civilization called the Hopi Tribe coming from Hawaii.

It was an Hopi prayer that I fell in love with:” I am sorry Please forgive me Thank you I love you” At the time, I didn’t know the origins of this prayer, I just loved the simplicity as with most ancient civilizations. Okay, I was listening…

The hook was in, and I could feel myself being reeled in by… Myself.
Ancient civilizations & cultures fascinate me as does quantum physics. I find the ancients seem to have the concept of Creation and Sustenance all rolled into concepts of their relationship with everything around them & each other.

A rather Jung approach to life when he spoke of the “Collective Unconsciousness “

I am a great believer in Co-Creation. I don’t buy into a concept of our destinies being predetermined to the last detail. I believe our thoughts , words , actions & choices determine our ultimate path & fate.

I believe we are never alone. I believe we are ALWAYS helped by Divine Forces, Energies, Beings. I belong to one race, the Human Race.

Connecting with ancient cultures & civilizations allows me to connect with my Truth. I had been to Peru , Macchu Pichu and to this day I still feel the resonance of that experience , 2 years later.

Places to visit with the spiritual zones of the world has always appealed.

Hawaii , though? My judgmental side was seriously rearing its head.

Soon, however, I was fed some interesting bits of information & the journey began… My thirst for travel & my curious brain got the better of me.

           A few facts :

  1. Hawaii ,a group of islands unlike other islands on the planet, is actually one single land mass.
  2. All the existing islands are a result of volcanic activity.
  3. There is another island about to be added soon as a result of this volcanic activity.
  4. All the islands originated from the volcano Mauna Lau
  5. From base to top the highest peak on the island , Mauna Kea is higher than Mount Everest.
  6. The largest island in the group is called Hawaii , also known as the Big Island
  7. There are 21 microclimates on the Big Island.

It is the Big Island that carried the spiritual energy of Pele in the live volcano,
it is the Big Island that carried the ancient Atlantean energy in the Spinner Dolphins that we were going to swim with
It is in the Big Island that carried the energy of the Stars in the Manta Rays that we were scheduled to swim with ( I didn’t understand this)
It is on the Big Island that one of the Worlds largest observatories exist
It is on the Big Island that all these forces & Energies combine & enrich the Earth & it’s people’s…
